Re: New Year Celebration

Dear all,

Quite a few people have asked about the tomorrow party. By now, I haven’t heard anything from the district yet although I’ve been contacting them since early this morning.

So far, our party for tomorrow night is still on. Please check our website at www.dhcca.org for any updates.

Year of Tiger Celebration

Time: 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Saturday on February 27, 2010

Location: Gymnasium at HHH High School West, 375 Wolf Hill Road, Dix Hills

Per above time and date, our school is going to celebrate both the Year of Tiger (2/14/10) and the Lantern Festival (2/28/10). On behalf of the Board and the administration, I’m pleased to invite all the parents, all the students, all the teachers, all your families, relatives and friends to attend the celebration (See attached program schedule).

1) Food Preparation: As is our tradition, each family will prepare some sort Chinese food to bring to the Party. We will continue posting the food chart on the hallway this Friday and have each family sign the chart. Please be advised that you should consider the quantity of the food (feed your own family at least) when preparing for it.

2) Entrance Ticket: As usual, we will continue selling the tickets for the Party at $5 per person this Friday.  If you don’t like to bring food to the Celebration, you may pay the ticket of $10 per person instead.

3) Prize Donation: One of our most successful activities at the Party are the Games. Again, we would like all families to donate as many prizes as possible for the Games. We don’t mind any logos on the prizes. If we have enough prizes, we don’t have to purchase anymore. You may bring prizes to school this Friday or to the Party.

4) Red Bag to Children: Also as a tradition, we’ll distribute a “Red Bag” to each student this Friday instead of at the Party.

5) Gifts to Teachers: We’ll give a bonus of $30 to each teacher to appreciate their excellent work and the $30 will be paid together with the February salary.

Speech Contest on March 5

All instructors: you should provide the students with some practice for the speech contest on March 5, 2010.
